REECE MYERS MITCHELL LIBRARY

The IBICA Library is named after a missionary that worked in church planting in the province of Buenos Aires upon his arrival in 1973 until his death in 1999. Brother Mitchell was a key person in planning and the construction of the Caballito Church of Christ building which now houses the Bible Institute of the Churches of Christ in Argentina and the IBICA Library. As a young man, he pursued a bachelor's degree in Greek New Testament at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas, U.S.A. later completing the Masters in Divinity at the same institution. Besides brother Mitchell's love for the work of the Christ's church and for biblical scholarship, it is easily said that he "lived with his head in heaven and his feet on the earth," which are traits that are commendable to anyone wanting to study the Sacred Scriptures.
